Ice fishing tournament

Description

Take part in thrilling ice fishing tournament on the frozen Curonian Lagoon or other lake! The team-based ice fishing championship is a great winter activity for you, your friends, or colleagues.

Competing teams aim to catch as many fish as possible within a set time. Participants fish in two rounds of 2 hours each, with a lunch break featuring e.g. military porridge and hot wine. In case it is needed, teams are transported to the fishing spot by snowmobiles and compete in the designated areas marked by the organizers.

The championship follows local rules for Amateur Fishing and Fish Protection (MŽT). Each angler can use only one ice fishing rod and one bait with a single hook. No restrictions on bait colors or shapes, but additional lures, weights on the line, and sonars are prohibited.

Teams can fish only in the designated area marked by the organizers’ flags. The total weight of all fish caught by the team, meeting MŽT size and other requirements, contributes to the championship result.

Teams are ranked based on fish weight: 1st place – 1 point, 3rd place – 3 points, and so on. The championship winner is the team with the fewest points accumulated from both rounds.
