Do you want to test your team, discover its human and professional qualities? Sailing lessons on the yacht “Lietuva” (or similar) with your colleagues in the Baltic Sea are the finest personnel development academy where true people, their traits, and talents shine. Led by experienced captains and sailors, the crew formation seminar aims to nurture leaders, strengthen tolerance, trust among team members, and enhance teamwork skills.
At the beginning of the seminar, participants undergo a theoretical training course on sailing basics and maritime safety, familiarize themselves with the sailing yacht, and distribute roles among the crew members. Then the yacht will set sails and depart from the port of Klaipėda.
The team must work intensively to coordinate their actions and maintain the smooth movement of the sailboat in the Baltic Sea. After getting acquainted with the sailboat, team members are divided into teams-boats participating in ship handling competitions. Good and undistorted communication between leaders and the team is crucial during these competitions, especially when the wind starts to blow strongly and the waves roar loudly. Team members experience intense emotions, make decisions themselves, and strive to win the title of the best team. Upon reaching the shore, a debriefing is conducted, followed by dinner on board.
Participants of sailing lessons, returning to their usual living conditions, look at many earthly worries in a new light, through the eyes affected by the sea, wind, and sails.
For teams wishing to experience even more intense experiences, we can organize a two-day crew formation trip Klaipėda–Liepāja (overnight stay on the ship)–Klaipėda. We also conduct themed seminars-competitions for teams on topics such as: managing extreme situations at sea, simulated rescue operations, sailboat regattas, etc. The main feature of all sailing lessons is the application of theory in practice according to the 20-80 principle.
